Hallgrimskirkja in Reykjavik will host a festival in October 2014 in celebration of the 400th birthday anniversary of Hallgrimur Petursson. For this occasion Hallgrimskirkja has commissioned Wayne Siegel to create a new hour-long work for the magnificent Klais organ, which was installed in the church in 1992. Celebration will be premiered as a concert event during the festival. The commission is supported by the Danish State Arts Foundation.
