From 2014 to 2021, I have played (on my motion-tracking system) every summer in the museum’s sculpture park together with Palle Mikkelborg (trumpet) and Michael Riessler (bass clarinet). It culminated with a concert in Louisiana’s concert hall in April 2023, a studio recording in 2024 and subsequent album release, “Louisiana Ritual,” on Da Capo Records in 2025. It has always been a rewarding experience to stay at the boathouse (the museum’s seaside guesthouse) and work together with these two fantastic musicians for a few days. Unfortunately, Palle stopped playing due to health problems a couple years ago, so I naturally thought that this meant the end of the summer concerts at Louisiana. But this spring, Michael and I received a surprising request from Louisiana’s music director: would we like to resume the tradition together with the young German harmonica virtuoso Konstantin Reinfeld? Well, indeed we would! So I’m really looking forward to returning to Louisiana with two daily concerts on Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th of August, at 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM both days!
